Wage: Starting at $18/hour | Paid Training

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, know your way around Thunder Bay, and have a voice that keeps things calm when the radios are crackling? We want YOU!

At Roach’s Taxi, we’re looking for someone to help keep the city moving — literally. You’ll answer calls from customers, dispatch trips using our software (we use iCabbi), and coordinate with drivers via radio and phone. When things go sideways (like tech hiccups or storms), you’ll step in with manual dispatch backup.

This role is part dispatcher, part call taker, part local superhero.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Answer incoming taxi booking calls with a friendly, helpful attitude
• Monitor trip flow and make sure the system is doing its job (and step in when it doesn’t)
• Communicate with drivers over radio and phone
• Provide excellent customer service – even under pressure
• Manually dispatch trips during system downtimes
• Keep the city moving, one trip at a time

You’re a Good Fit If You:

• Know your way around Thunder Bay
• Can juggle a ringing phone, a talking radio, and a blinking screen – all without breaking a sweat
• Are comfortable on a computer (typing, navigating apps, switching tabs, etc.)
• Have solid multitasking skills and a good memory for street names
• Are reliable, polite, and ready to be part of a 24/7 operation
• Bonus points if you’ve worked with iCabbi or in a similar dispatch role — but it’s not required!
